Terms of Service

Kinnect is for adults only. By creating an account you confirm you are 18 years of age or older. We don't knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use Kinnect.

You sign up and sign in through our authentication provider. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for what happens under your account.

There are two kinds of accounts: trainees, who subscribe to trainers and train, and trainers, who apply, get approved, and publish programs. A trainer application can be approved or rejected at our discretion.

Subscribing is per trainer: one monthly subscription unlocks all of that trainer's published programs. You can hold subscriptions to more than one trainer at a time. Subscriptions renew automatically every month until cancelled. The price is shown to you before you check out.

Payment is processed by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.

You can cancel anytime from your subscription settings. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for — we don't give partial refunds for the unused part of a period. Any refund outside of that is at Kinnect's discretion.

If a renewal payment fails, our payment processor retries it automatically and you keep access while retries are in progress. If the payment still fails after the retries, the subscription ends and so does your access.

A trainer may change their monthly price at any time. A price change only affects new subscribers — if you're already subscribed, your price doesn't change.

If you're a trainer, you're responsible for the accuracy and quality of the programs, workouts, and exercise videos you publish. Payouts are handled through our payment processor; Kinnect takes a platform fee out of each subscription, and the rest is transferred to your bank account. You're responsible for your own taxes on payouts you receive.

Don't use Kinnect to upload content you don't have the right to share, harass or abuse other users, attempt to bypass subscription access, scrape or misuse the service, or use it for anything illegal. We can suspend or remove access for accounts that violate this.

You keep ownership of the videos and other content you upload (exercise videos, workout-set recordings, program descriptions, reviews). By uploading, you give Kinnect a licence to host, process, and display that content as needed to run the service — for example, streaming a trainer's exercise video to their subscribers, or sending your workout-set video to our AI provider to generate form feedback for you. If a trainer has enabled AI comparison for an exercise, the trainer's own reference video for that exercise may also be sent to the AI provider alongside a trainee's set video, to compare form against it.

Kinnect is not a medical service and nothing on Kinnect is medical advice. Programs, workouts, and AI-generated form feedback are for general fitness purposes only.

AI form feedback is generated automatically and can be wrong or miss things a human coach would catch. It does not replace your trainer's own judgment or a medical professional's advice. Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have an existing condition or injury.

You exercise at your own risk. Stop immediately if something hurts or feels wrong.

We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or for other reasonable cause. If a trainer is suspended, we cancel all of that trainer's subscriptions. You can stop using Kinnect and cancel your own subscriptions at any time.

Kinnect is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kinnect and STRYDD Inc. are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any injury related to exercising along with a Kinnect program.

We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continuing to use Kinnect after a change means you accept the update.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
